I am back to being the real Chech MAK!
Enduring such experience was revolting. I fell, being pulled out, fell again, being pulled out one more time, and fell again. Three days of yo-yo mood. Three days of emptying my tear ducts. Three days of unsuccessful counseling. Three days of letting my ego be me.
An enriching experience, but I do not want to learn that way ever again. It is my choice. It is my choice. It's my choice. Practice makes perfect, Chech.
My only consolation was Ayah Soh's words while I was in Malacca on Tuesday, "untuk dapat perkara baik, kena atasi perkara jahat dulu."

Being Chech MAK
We enjoyed each other's company tremendously while were having breakfast. No, it wasn't the Quaker Oat, Anlene, and Milo combo.
Berdiri; Sendirian.
Sentiasa.
Hidup.
Sentiasa.
Mak, do enlighten me more about The Path.
Tok Ayahk, I will talk to you more often.
God, I am connecting with You.

So
Before I commenced my journey in this life, what really happened?
☙
Right now, I feel like having a bowl of Quaker Oats in Anlene and Milo, and enjoy my mother's company.
☙
This Saturday, I am going to attend Nadey's wedding with Nana, Elin, Elis and perhaps Indah, and meet the rest of the Seri Puteri chums.
☙
So, what is it with that person's life?
Let it be and enjoy yours.

Un-Numb. Re-Love.
He pulled me out of that vacuum hollow.
To live love and love life or to suffocate and suffer?
I covered the hollow, not wanting to be trapped again.

Let Me
Me is Me, but Me previously thought Me could be a better Me until He enlightened Me that Me is already the best Me could be!
Nonetheless, this Me feels like exploding!
Me needs someone other than Me, badly!
Me can't talk!
ME will let her tears speak up. Me is glad Me is going to Malacca tonight to listen to Ayah Soh.

What is Ethereal?
There was a particular scene in Shuhaimi Baba's Selubung, in which Deanna Yusoff was surrounded by innumerable butterflies.
This scene was reenacted along Merapoh stretch on May 19, 2005, where endless amount of yellow butterflies fluttered by and mesmerised the road users.
We never encountered this during our previous journeys back to Kelantan.
That IS ethereal!

While I was Away
25 minutes too late! Yes, I arrived home on Sunday, 12:25 a.m. And then, other matters required my time. Therefore, I broke my promise to be here on Saturday. Missed the blog!
In fact, I missed, and am missing, innumerable things.
I missed, while I was away in the Anlene Land, among other:
Mon beau
It seems like eons since I last met the physical him. The date in Kuala Lumpur did not count. It was too brief and my skin was under an uncomfortable allergy attack.
My siblings
The ever fun brothers.
My blog
Though simple it may be, I still love it for its functions.
My room
The only place with ultra privacy.
The Exercise
Walking around Kampung Berkat and Kampung Masjid Tanah has always been refreshing. Being in Kelantan didn't help as I was spoilt with sumptuous, sumptuous tiffins. Dayah's nasi dagang, Kak Seha's kerabu pucuk paku, Cikgu Rahmah's kerabu mangga, Kak Zan's keropok lekor, Kak Yi's budu with a pinch of ikan rebus, as well as Cik Nah's colek. There was also the tapai ubi basah and tapai ubi goreng along the road from Ketereh to Tanah Merah. Not to forget, the food sold in the night market at this particular place within Kota Bharu.
The crowd in Malacca
No visit to Surau Batu, Ujong Pasir, tomorrow because we will depart to the east coast on Thursday morning. Usually, we meet them on Thursday night.
Travel and Living Channel
I travel daily via the programmes.
Driving my mother in my father's usually-untouchable car
Enough said.
My daily chores in Rembau
Hey, I occassionally found money that belonged to my father while sweeping the floor or putting the dirty laundry into the washing machine. I loved it whenever my mother said "simpanlah duitnya"
Now that I am back in Rembau, I am missing other things!
Which reminds me of this entry I wrote for a group blog managed by Mr. G for Language Games class:
" Today is the day I neglected Jusco completely and cast my attention to Mas, my housemate who loves to laugh. She is laughing with a new friend now.
Up until this second, I regard my day as very relaxing. A day filled with joyous moments, too. Last week, while spending time with all my brothers at home, I felt something missing in my heart. Maybe biologists should probe whether our hearts consist of several parts with each part being specially reserved for differing people in our lives. So, what was missing in my heart then and what triggered the question?
I was actually missing my chums in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Spending time with all of you almost completes me. What would completely complete me? A bar of bittersweet vochelle chocolate, heh. Of course, I do not mind other kinds of chocolate, as long as they are delicious."

Old Chum, New Charm
I really enjoyed connecting to an old chum just now.
* I wish I have an access to 3G mobile phone so that I could post from there, there, or there. All because I will be away in a land where Anlene milk could be found in abundance, yay. See you on Saturday!

My Exercise Buddies
Relaxing is sitting in front of the tabletop to reply to e-mails, visit Friendster, hop from one website to another, and write in my blog.
Nonetheless, I want to take care of my-gorgeous-self (ahem). So, Kampung Berkat and Kampung Masjid Tanah, here I come! Why these villages? I usually start my brisk-walking from Kampung Berkat, where I am residing, then, pass through Kampung Masjid Tanah, and back to Kampung Berkat. Kampung Air Itam will be part of the route when Najib is back from Subang. Or better, we will hike up Gunung Tampin. If time allows, swimming in State Sport Complex, Seremban.
It is so nice to have an exercise buddy or more, kan?
Back in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), I remember how my course mates in Kolej Tuanku Canselor (KTC) were bitten by exercise bugs during examination weeks.
We began the day before anyone else in the campus did and gathered outside Block S12 for group-stretching. It was a long way to Puncak Balai Cerap, so we wisely selected where exactly to jog and where exactly to brisk-walk. Heh. If the pact leader sensed another jogger, we would jog. As soon as the person disappeared, it was back to brisk-walk mode. Heh heh heh. In the end, on our way back, we would be too haggard to impress.
We actually meant to have fun and socialise. Hey, because of those sessions, we got to know a fellow coursemate, Fid, of Block S19, and at times, people from other courses. Fid was even renamed to Bok there and then as she was the only one using Reebok shoes. No thanks to her future roommate's creativity with names.
The hike specifically started at this particular block in Kolej Tun Dr Ismail (KTDI). Before that, we would pass by Zam's block, waking up everybody there as we shouted out his name. The guy, yet another coursemate, would reluctantly go out to meet us, of course, for the noise was unbearable. A good tactic, eh?
Back to the journey to Puncak Balai Cerap. The activities up there? Chit-chatting, accompanied by laughter, and more chit-chatting, accompanied by more laughter. All these in the midst of having sardine sandwich, freshly prepared at the peak of the hill. The sardine cans served as great weights to exercise the muscles, we joked.
And, I stressed that it was all for fun because on our journey back to KTC, we would stop at Centre Point (CP) for roti canai or nasi lemak! The only consolation for the sinful breakfast was our walk to the Perpustakaan Sultanah Zanariah (PSZ) right after a refreshing shower. Serious revision like never before (and never afterwards)! No talking or you would have to buy iced lemon tea for everybody in the pact during lunch. Hmm, why iced lemon tea? Anybody?
By the way, gossip was allowed after a certain period, though. Most of the time, we stayed there until the closing time. After dinner, to avoid boredom, we revised in groups. If it was too cold, we would have hot milo at the drink station, which could be quite namby pamby if one was short of coins or would like to save them for the more pivotal phone calls.
Back in college, Munahdesto time! Karaoke and dancing. Mursyidah told me that her dance cd is still in good condition. The owner of Munahdesto, Munah, who was also known as Mas (the ever fun soul), would usually be alone as Marni, her roommate then, would always wander here and there (bless this adventurous spirit). Simultaneously, Mimi and I had issues with our boudoirs. So, there we went, and the others flocked to where the crowd was. When there were more than one head, anything could happen. To think that we played the ***** ***** game. Ha ha ha! Where is my Tengku Rampa?
No matter what, I always remembered those people as my boisterous exercise buddies. Here is a summary:
Mas and Nas used to accompany me from our place, Flat Taman Universiti, to the lecture halls. Strangers did stop to offer us a ride. It was nice knowing Malaysians were a caring society (as I hoped none of them had negative motives). Once in a while, I would brisk-walk with Michelle, and sometimes, she would swim with Yani and I. Oh, there were also the walks to Pasar Malam Skudai and Pasar Malam Taman Universiti. In an ambitious attempt, Mas, and I, walked to KTC from our place, then off to Pasar Malam Skudai with Farah once we reached KTC. Oh, how I cherish the days when we walked and walked and it seemed like we had to walk forever and ever (which I loved).
I am going to have a new exercise buddy soon! Yay!

Good Morning
I woke up smiling and I am still smiling.
Firstly, I am relieved that I have tidied up the master bedroom upstairs. Eventually (after littering it with my luggages as I have recently moved back to Rembau from Mantin). Mantin? That is another story.
Secondly, I woke up earlier than usual and was able to chant zikr with ayah and mak. I would like to wake up much earlier tomorrow so I could do more.
Thirdly, I accomplished my resolution to brisk-walk around the village although later on, I indulged in mak's fried meehoon. Hmm, Mas would agree on this - one would never gain weight if one eats a mother's cooking because God, honoring one's appreciation towards the mother's kind gestures, will provide opportunities for additional activities which eventually burn the calories from the particular food. It has been proven, kan, Mas?
Finally, I received a message from him and that never failed to make me happy!
Oh, I fervently hope that Mak will smile, too, as she always does, despite *that news.
*She called Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM) to confirm her appointment. Initially, she was told to go there on May 25 to collect the result from the mammogram procedure. Just now, her oncologists would like her to be there on May 19 as she has to undergo another biopsy (with the first led to a mastectomy) as there could be more cancerous lumps on the right breast. Mak, We love you! Stay strong!

What are they doing?
Ayah is burning the calories from sate kambing Haji Samuri, four plates of rice with ikan pekasam, and colek (pronounced Kelantanese style, please).
Mak was preparing banana fritters when I began this. Now, she is inviting the members of Chez Chembong to savour them with kopi o (and it is almost raining outside; would be perfect if it is raining, eh). And mak, the lunch was sumptuous! Love the tempe and tauhu.
Along is occupied with a personal project these days.
Angah is either dealing with machines in the factory or dealing with machines at Perhentian Kuih Kampung Ujong Pasir. (Dealing with machines at Perhentian Kuih Kampung Ujong Pasir = Preparing fruit juices at his mother-in-law's famous eatery).
Cimi, I wish you were here, so that you could accompany me to Terminal One and get more mp3 songs. I miss you, Chempiang!
Cajib is watching Teater Melayu Klasik: Lancang Kuning. I have watched that (and enjoyed it), but this lass (whom I usually call Koj, for Kojib) has been watching shows which he never watched before, like hindi movies on TV3 every Saturday! Oh, I am now watching Air Crash Investigation regularly, thanks to him.
Cilan is locking himself up in his room. The last time he did this, I found the decor items in the room being arranged differently. Hey, the hall upstairs seemed tidier, too. Cilan oh Cilan, could you please do the same to my room?
Anis is relaxing in front of the television, after so-called helping The Pulau Gadong Clan preparing kuih-muih. She is also thinking of walking around the neighbourhood with tired nenek, or tired Mak Midah, or tired papa, or tired (and nauseous ibu), or tired Aunty Maida. Tired mama and Tired ayah are busy with work, most probably. Everybody does want to be with Anis and so your Maklang is!
Kamal oh Kamal, I am chanting THE mantra ;p

I, IKWAS
PTD Assessment: So far, 7 out of 11 blogs I went to contained musings on this particular subject. And, now, I am in the statistic.
10 Things I Find Amusing About It:
i. It was hilarious seeing every candidate having nombor badan, and to make it more hilarious, the number was huge!
ii. More about nombor badan:
a. I didn't realise that my number was considered 'ong' if transcribed to Chinese characters until
he, who was amused with the nombor badan more than anybody else, pointed out how the number has been used as prices to several items during The Rooster Chinese New Year. Best examples being the ring bought by ayah for map, and the Osim iSqueeze which was in my family's wish list. Both cost
RM1388. Well, I was almost there. My number: 138.
b. SPA administration, for unknown reason(s), arranged five candidates in a row and snapped
their pictures. The pose: stand straight, with wide gap between a candidate and the
person next to him/her. One guy actually asked "perlu saya pegang nombor?"
c. Afterwards, all of us conveniently called each other with the nombor badan.
iii. It is a small world after all. I met Syahida (who has been a university mate's best chum), as we were waiting to be called for the photo session; Syu (who was a junior back in Sekolah Seri Puteri), as I was
walking to the registration counter; Narima (who was a batchmate in Sekolah Seri Puteri), as our names were being called for the English proficiency test; Zarul (who was a batchmate in Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Tun Razak 2), as we were having breakfast; and As (who was a familiar face sans a name back in Kolej Tuanku Canselor, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai), as we were taking lunch.
iv. Everybody seemed very charismatic. Indeed, they were. A pleasure to know all of you.
v. The 2.4 km run! I finished it within 15 to 18 minutes. Although you have the liberty
to laugh at my proud statement albeit the poor, poor record, I think I have the right to be proud as I didn't experience any joint-ache. Not bad for someone who lacked exercises, eh. My, my, a severe case of syok sendiri.
vi. The activities were funtastic. Public speaking, pengucapan umum, debate, and all. I especially liked
the group activities as there were various enchanting characters.
vii. INTAN Kampus Wilayah Selatan (IKWAS), Kluang, was equipped with exceptional air conditioners. The one in my room appeared suspiciously ancient, but surprisingly, it caused my roommate, Erin, and I to wake up later than we would like to. Then, there were the extremely cold air conditioners in activity rooms. Dear Panel Members, if you saw us trembling, it was never caused by
jitters. It was the air-conditioner ;p.
viii. All in all, I had fun, fun, and more fun as each moment passed by in IKWAS.
Unfortunately, I had to sacrifice Anis's 1st birthday celebration (April 30th). Happy Belated Birthday! From your aunt, 138.
