I feel like watching a movie, and I also feel like reading a good book. However, since I do not have the means to do both, I am blogging. Yay.
What is not so yay is the fact that I am on medical leave again. The virus that attacked my colleagues back in INTAN, with some being seriously affected, has found its way in my system. Nonetheless, it was always the case of finding a 24-hour clinic. No clinic was open in Bangsar on Sunday. So, I endured the commence of English Module having to do spontaneous public speaking in male-ish voice.
It was the pain in my throat that I could not stand at all. By late evening, even yawning felt painful. It was made worse by the continuous coughing. Right after Kamal finished his meeting, we toured Bangsar again, only to find that there was no 24-hour clinic around, too. Alhamdulillah, we found an 18-hour clinic in Brickfield. What I thought was tonsillitis, aside from whatever virus there was, is actually laryngitis.
Laryngitis + cough + flu + fever = medical leave
This morning, Kamal himself had to phone my Senior Project Coordinator to inform that I am on medical leave as my voice barely came out. I was knocked out the whole morning and was only awakened by Kamal's call. It was sweet as I had just dreamt of sending Kamal a text message.
I am feeling better now although the soar throat and coughing are still lingering there. Must be the mini French cheese cake that accompanied the egg sandwich I had for lunch. Blame the unaffected appetite on Premenstrual Syndrome. Heh.
How I look forward to walking with Kamal tonight, to make up for the aerobics in INTAN. Partly, yes. Primarily because I enjoy doing things with him. He is even becoming a great shopping buddy. Mal, you just need to tutor me religiously and we can become IT buddy *wink*.
So, IT World this Saturday?

Life, Love
1 a.m.
Kamal and my graduation gift. They are one of the best combos, especially when romantic music is playing. Oh la la!
If that moment of numbness (ever) comes, I will remember how great your love is.
"What is love?"
"Love is what you breathe. What you inhale. What you exhale."

A foot massage, Formula 1, and an updated blog. A combo that is so unlikely of Chech to indulge in, eh? As long as it includes a foot massage and an updated blog, I am a happy woman. Well, uZap is equally heavenly, too.
More heavenly is to get a set of triplets! We got the opportunity to visit Ian Danish, Ian Mukhrish, and Ian Qhallish eventually as Kak Liza, Abang Hafez, and Marissa were in Paroi, Seremban. How adorable the triplets are!
Four months to go. :)

I am Supposedly Studying for the Law Exam Tomorrow
First and foremost, congratulations to Sidang A debating team, consisting of Lola, Anbu, Nasrul, and not to forget, Syahida, for winning the Sidang A vs Sidang B debate last night. I was in the auditorium in spirit, and perhaps, that also contributed to the win? ;p
Another victory - Cilan gleefully called me, extending the good news that the menu Kamal and I helped to design for an assignment gained the highest mark. For that, he got free meals for two days from a restaurant near his school. Mak remarked, "Kaklang and Abang Kamal kau yang patutnya dapat free meals."
Meals. Yes, Kamal and I do enjoy different dining experiences . Last evening, as I felt better, we walked in Bangsar, from one restaurant to another. I stopped at a banana-leaf restaurant and ordered banana-leaf rice, apparently, as well as fried fish with tairu sauce.
Since that was my first experience having banana-leaf rice, I did not know that the portion is usually generous. The rice was accompanied by four types of vegetable. My favourite was the gourd, crisply fried with spices.
Today, dinner is in INTAN Bukit Kiara as Kamal and Zam will go to Melaka. My regards to everybody there, particularly Ayah and Mak, and of course, Anis and Haris. Angah and Kak Ita brought them to Rembau the previous weekends. I played with Anis and Haris whenever Mak took over tutoring Cilan.
It i tutoring time again this weekend. Perhaps, Cilan could pay for my service. By preparing his Special Fish and Chips, made from scratch. Chech kagum sebab diatak mahir tak pandai langsung memasak. Heh.
Missing Kamal. Looking forward to The Heirloom date.

Asal Kapas, Jadi Benang
Except for the frequent trips to the loo, I am cherishing my private moments in this cosy litte room of ours :). When I wrote 'private moments', it refers to me:
+ surfing the Internet without feeling guilty that I am not spending quality time with Kamal
+ updating my blog
+ browsing the magazines
+ wishing I had Astro so I could watch the Winter Olympics
It started with occasional stomachache after tea, on Saturday. Came bedtime, it became severe that Kamal had to rush me to the nearest 24-hour clinic at midnight. Wait, no 24-hour clinic in Rembau? He ended up buying Chi Kit Teck Aun pills at 7-Eleven. The only pack left. Phew. I survived, alright. Oh, I am traumatised with diarrhoea as I once fainted due to it.
Even with the usually effective Chi Kit Teck Aun pills, I was still experiencing malaise, and today, it has worsened. The doctor confirmed it as food-poisoning, thus a medical leave for me. I am just thankful that this did not occur during outdoor camping in Outward Bound School (OBS), as I prefer dig the soil for gardening than doing so for number two.
OBS. Albeit being in Lumut for merely seven days, the experiences were amazing!
INTAN has requested that our stint in OBS was focused on water activities. The rest is (great) history:

Kayaking around the Pangkor Island proffered a new horizon for us; the primary experience being 'the discovery'. We discovered new places. Above all, we discovered another side of each other. They are beautiful.
I was in The Bubu. Kokap tapi cekap was our motto.
The rest in The Bubu were Syafiq, Fandi, Syahida, Nurli, Ira, Izma, Ana, Khai, Maha, Zam, Elango, Thiru, Gaban, and Safwan. There were songs and laughters. Yet, one of the most unforgettable: "It is not about the story. It is about LOVE". Unquote. Ha!

Special thanks to Encik Nizam, Mister Billy, and Miss Mim. The lesson we treasure the most is, of course, poco-poco. Heh. I kid you. The lesson we treasure the most must be the clove hitch! Seriously ;).
In the end, we are all singing "asal kapas, jadi benang".

Six Days of Silence
When Chech first checked in for her Outward Bound School (OBS) stint in Lumut last Sunday, she had to check in her phone as well. She had in fact warned me earlier that there would be no communication with the outside world.
And at 7:00 a.m. this morning, the six days of silence was broken. Yay!
I could hear from my beloved again whom I have missed so much. There were many things to update each other over the phone, but I guessed we had better saved it till we meet again later today. She will be arriving back in INTAN Bukit Kiara around 3:30 p.m.
I hope she will enjoy an addition to our room, which I only discovered several hours ago after being here for almost a month. However, she would only notice it on Sunday as we will be heading straight back to Rembau right after her arrival. Oh well, perhaps we will depart down the Seremban highway right after a short date. :)
Welcome back, honey! Miss you! Miss you!

Mi Rojak
Last evening, Chech had the best mi rojak at a corner restaurant in Section 7, Shah Alam. The name of the restaurant skips my mind. Too bad.
I was already full from eating my own meal, but the taste of that rojak was so delicious, I helped Chech to finish it.
Hopefully when we return to the place again for another portion of mi rojak, it would still taste delicious.

Gunung Angsi
Unit Diploma Pengurusan Awam (UDPA) has arranged a lot of physical activities for the Diploma Pengurusan Awam (DPA) students. I definitely love them as I value healthy lifestyle. To think that I used to weigh nearly 100 kilograms back in secondary school.
After the trip to Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam on the first day of our six-month DPA course and the Military Module, I was looking forward to climbing Gunung Angsi. It offered a different challenge than Gunung Panti. The track was less steepy, but narrower and slippier. I really should thank Kamal for accompanying me all the way to Petaling Jaya Oldtown to buy the recommend Foo Keong spike shoes.
Nearing the end of the activity, the path became easier and easier. Nevertheless, easy is never the UDPA way. Tuan Salim and Co soaked us wet in the river. No one was spared. I loved it though as I had eyed the river from the higher track every time it was visible, thinking of the refreshing water.
Nothing beats going back to see Ayah and Mak in Rembau and savour the latter's cooking though. Kamal fetched me from Ulu Bendul and we headed straight for Kampung Berkat. I was right about the parents' pampering. Mak had lovingly prepared Laksa Kelantan for us.

Cuti-Cuti Kelantan
Events. The Chinese New Year came first. Prior to that, the Diploma Pengurusan Awam (DPA) students held a special dinner to celebrate the festivity. We from Sidang A performed a dance sketch entitled 'Tai-Chi Master'.
It was during the Chinese New Year that a sister to my close chum, Kak Long, tied the knot to her beau in Kuala Terengganu. Kamal and I arrived that Saturday morning, just in time to fetch Ayoh and Mok in Ketereh and joined the rest of the gu at Tok Wan's place. Ina, Kak Long's younger sister, was mistaken as the bride by my mother-in-law. She did look as ravishing.
It was followed by another wedding the next day. We had a sumptuous spread of Gulai Kawah and Ayam Percik. I could not resist taking a pinch or two of the ayam percik despite being allergic to chicken.
During this particular trip to Kelantan, I had a sudden craving for Air Kelapa Muda. Fortunately, it was not Jeli Kelapa, which was getting scarce. Other Kelantanese foods which I love are in abundance though. Ayah and Mak hosted a tea session at our Bukit Mas home. There were Satar and Keropok Lekor specially made by Ayah Da and Kak Zan, Pisang Goreng, Keledek Goreng, Tapai Ubi Goreng, Pizza Mini, Ban Kacang Merah, Bubur Jagung, and Loncong. All gone in seconds. Fundamentally, we had a good time with the gu.
Kak Ni, Kamal's elder sister, and her family, were also in Ketereh, so Kamal and I spent a night there to meet them. The specialty in Ketereh? Nasi Itik Serati as breakfast!
On Tuesday, The Ketereh Clan attended the wedding of Cik Noh's grandchild in Kota Bharu. So nice meeting Mar and Nordi, who happened to be close friends with Tina, a fellow Onezerofiver. Mar is been married to Kamal's second cousin, while Nordi is Kamal's second cousin. Both are lawyers based in the Klang Valley.
That night, we got to listen to Ayah Soh. A great experience.
Before we headed back to Kuala Lumpur for yet more days of work, Kamal and I pampered ourselves with a facial session at Leonard Drake. They even re-applied my foundation, lipstick, blusher, eyeshadow, and mascara after the session, all with Averine products. How heavenly it would be if the 50 percent discount deal lasts until after I have completed the Outward Bound School. After being grilled at the military camp, I did look fairer post-facial. Thank you, sayang, for the treat. Kamal even got me an Estee Lauder aqua creme foundation as well although I insisted to pay. Rezeki jangan ditolak.
Thursday finally came. I had classes on Friday. So, we reluctantly left Kelantan. We were joined by Ayoh and Mok as we planned to visit our nephew, Wiwi, at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital. Alhamdulillah, Wiwi had a successful operation after a severe accident.
The great holidays ended with a dinner treat at a restart that belongs to the younger brother of Abang Din, Kamal's brother-in-law.Thank you Abang Din. Now, Kamal and I have another nice eatery to bring visitors to.
Oh la la! This is a long entry, by my standard. I really missed the internet, obviously.

We are in Bangsar
Kamal and I have moved from Bandar Seri Putra to Bangsar.
Now, we could see more of each other despite my busy schedule during Kursus Diploma Pengurusan Awam. No more tiring my dear Kamal, whose office is in Bangsar.
Because of the extra time saved from being on the road, Kamal has created a new blog skin for me.
All the hurrah in the universe!

Seven Days of PULADA
Welcome to Pusat Latihan Tempur Tentera Darat (PULADA).
The longest seven days of my life, yet they are treasured definitely.
Here are other superlatives that depict my experience in enduring the Military Module:
The Most Indescribable Activity: Side-Rolling.
My Sidang A friends and I did so, from one end of rugby field to another, after being served a sumptuous lunch. And, that was right after crawling for similar distant. Phew. Amazingly, I did not vomit at all. The trainers thanked those who did as they had actually fertilised the grass.
The Most Gruelling-yet-Satisfying Activity: Latihan Inokulasi Tempur.
Platoon 2 was the first to crawl under the 75-meter barbed wire. The fact that we were soaked in mud before the activity commenced made it challenging. The hilly path made it more challenging. The real bullets being fired endlessly, the bombs that created tsunami out of the mud puddles, and the billowing smoke from the weapons made it most challenging. We were filled with pride and happiness as everybody in the platoon successfully completed the exercise. Oh, our elbows. As a celebration, the exhausted trainees were treated to a natural spa treatment. Go figure.
The Most Thrilling Activity: Abseiling. (At least, to me.)
From a five-storey tower. Twice. Ekau tanyolah Onchik Bagol konapo see buek duo kali.
The Most Fun Activity: Dancing.
I actually danced with a circle of mommies to Seiring dan Sejalan for the Barbecue Night. All of a sudden, the aching muscles were gone.
All in all, special thanks to the trainers who made the whole stint very memorable for us.

I actually danced with a circle of mommies to Seiring dan Sejalan for the Barbecue Night. All of a sudden, the aching muscles were gone.
The Most Physically-Challenging Activity: Mountaineering.
It gave me a taste of real rock climbing and chin-to-knee experience. Going down was more challenging. However, with our slogan 'belasah saga', Platoon 2 sled down the muddy path and had tremendous fun, as always. Oh, yes, those boots were made for hiking.
Victory was sweet, yet that couldn't beat the scrumptious lunch and the endless flow of cold drinks.
The Most Punishing: Pumping.
Having to do the exercise repeatedly on the tarred field, under the scorching sun was truly punishing. It leaves unsightly marks on my palms. Then, there were the leech scars. Sob. Back in INTAN Bukit Kiara, the ladies particularly could be seen with Vitamin E cream and such for all the scars from PULADA.
The Most Rewarding Activity: Log Relay.
It required esprit de corps, and albeit being the last group to arrive (thus killing our chance to be the best platoon), all of us were really proud of our ability to stretch the limit. I described it as rewarding because it was held right before the closing ceremony. Moy from our platoon was named the best woman participant.

The Most Cherished Experience: Being on Tiga Tan (three-tonne truck)
Moving from one location to another with the three-tonne truck was a wow. Wearing the magical camouflage uniform added to the indescribable feeling. Magical because it gives a never-say-die attitude to those who don it. Everybody said so.
The Best Activity: Those with M16.
Whoa! I even got the honour to represent my platoon in a shooting competition. All in all, our platoon emerged as the best for the shooting activity. And then, there was an ambush exercise. We never knew the M16 could be a great supporter for one's head while one napped. We were that exhausted, yes. Platoon 2 spent the whole night afterwards to know each other better. How could we manage to climb Gunung Panti the next morning and became the first group to arrive at the base camp is still a wonder.
All in all, special thanks to the trainers who made the whole stint very memorable for us.

The Military Module
We are in Bangsar
Cuti-cuti Kelantan
Gunung Angsi
I am still traumatised over the first degree burn, and so are my Sidang A friends. Therefore, there will be no review on any sunblock for now.
I will be right back with posts on the aforementioned titles though.
Oh, I missed the Internet connection. Pathetic :)
