Khalischool

On January 1, 2013, the conversation that Kamal, Khalish, and I had revolved around one topic: school. 

Today, the boy started well for someone whose first question every single morning throughout 2012 was "is it school holiday yet?". He was awake at 7:30 a.m, in time for breakfast. Oh, he even insisted to bathe on his own. No resistance for the uniform either. In the car, he conversed with the parents about Lego. 

Only to cling to me when a teacher greeted him at the gate of Tadika Damai Impian (Q-Dees), followed by a river of tears. That dramatic, yes. At the end of the day, when I queried, "was your day with teachers and friends fun?", he chirped, "yes, mommy!"

Which reminded me of the boy's antics during the annual concert last year. The moment he stepped onto the stage, the packed auditorium echoed with laughter. All because of his conflict: too happy to dance with the classmates, yet too shy to face the audience. Too cute!

His confidence grew during the second performance. 

    

Hopefully, his second year in school will be similar to that second performance
